This combination reinforced-concrete and
limestone-cliff pillbox is on the south side of Apaca Point. The
Japanese took advantage of natural crevices in the limestone and
closed them up with a concrete wall having one automatic weapon
embrasure and one rifle port. The interior is readily accessible via
another crevice at the rear. The pillbox is in good condition and is
an interesting exhibit in place here on the north flank of the Agat
landing beaches.
